BELINDAH MAKOMBE

Provisional Psychologist (children 10+, adolescents & adults)

Belindah is an experienced provisional psychologist who recently relocated from South Africa to Brisbane to continue her clinical career. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, supporting a wide range of emotional, relational, and psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, and life transitions.

Belindah also conducts psychometric and neuropsychological assessments to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning.

Belindah’s therapeutic approach is gentle, reflective, and deeply empathetic, with a trauma-informed and psychodynamic focus. Belindah integrates evidence-based methods including CBT, DBT, attachment-informed and relational approaches, and family therapy. She tailors her work to each individual, exploring both present concerns and the patterns that shape thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Belindah creates a warm, safe, and collaborative space where patients feel supported and understood. She encourages self-exploration and reflection, helping individuals develop insight, resilience, and practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. She works across both short-term supportive therapy and longer-term explorative psychotherapy.

Belindah offers reduced fees of $120 and will currently be practicing as a Provisional Psychologist under AHPRA as she completes her transitional program. Following this, she will be granted general registration and will be able to provide Medicare rebates under a current GP MHCP for sessions.

Belindah is currently accepting new patients and has appointments available Monday - Friday. You can schedule an appointment online or contact patient concierge to make a booking.
