Provisional Psychologist (adult)
Courtney is a provisional psychologist in her 6th year of study who is committed to providing a compassionate and understanding space where clients feel supported in exploring their challenges and work towards self-development. She focuses on an environment that promotes trust, is non-judgemental and relaxed to help clients better understand themselves and their emotions.
Her therapeutic approaches integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has a particular interest in attachment and trauma and works collaboratively with clients to create strategies for managing their emotional distress.
With her background in youth work, crisis support counselling combined with her psychology education, Courtney has a variety of experience in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and emotion regulation difficulties. Her approach is flexible and tailored to the individual which acknowledges the unique needs and goals of each person she works with.
Courtney completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) at Griffith University and is currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Social Neuroscience. She is dedicated to helping clients build emotional strength, self-assurance and a deeper connection to themselves in a supportive and collaborative therapeutic space.
